Off To the Hill
You don’t have to be a policy expert to advocate. You have to care. You have to share. Come learn how to take your passion for the health care issues most important to you and meet with members of Congress and their staff to discuss these and other meaningful topics:
- Affordable & Accessible Healthcare - Tell your legislator that healthcare is a right and not a privilege affordable only to some!
- LGBT Issues - Medicine continues to struggle to ensure access to high quality health care for all populations. Tell Congress that access and quality should not be determined by one’s sexual orientation.
- Student Debt - Let your legislator know the exorbitant cost of medical education places financial hardship on students that limits accessibility and specialty choice for many students.
- Global Health - Many populations continue to struggle each day to find clean water and enough food. Encourage legislators to make global health equity a priority.
We’ll give you hands-on training and take you to the Hill. Your voice matters. Let it be heard. Learn more about AMSA’s advocacy day.
