AMSA Meeting 6pm TOMORROW

April's AMSA Meeting at 6pm TOMORROW, Tuesday April 6th. (Room TBA, note the time is 6pm not 6:30).

List of events:

1.) Member's award presentation: There is still time to vote for your member's choice award, your vote will only take a second at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XD8NMR5 !!!

2.) PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS!! Come out to run and to vote! Voting on 2nd and 3rd year presidents for next year, we need 1st and 2nd years to come out and run!

3.) Raffle for USMLE Rx Scholarship! All those present at meeting will be eligible for raffle!

ELECTIONS!!! Please come out our April 6th meeting to run for Co-President AND Recruitment Officers!!! We especially want FIRST YEARS!! Get involved in one of PSM's best leadership opportunities!

We know that everyone is super busy as the year comes to an end and last months meeting was at a bad time for most so please just hang with me and read the whole e-mail, and send me your nominations!!! BE CAREFUL WITH REPLY IT MAY GO TO THE WHOLE GROUP!!!

 
Awards: NOMINATE, NOMINATE, NOMINATE!!!!!!

We want to recognize your hard work so that when you are making your CV's you can back up the stuff you put on there!  So...... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send us your nominations of students for the Member's Award.  Nominations will close Tuesday March 30th at 11:59pm (TOMORROW) so that voting can start Wednesday morning.  Recognize your classmates hard work and nominate them!!! 

 Send your nominations to Kelly (kpas...@alumni.nd.edu) or Anamaria  (anam...@gmail.com). 


Elections: We put it to a vote last meeting and we will be holding elections for the Co-President positions in the spring, while the remaining directiva positions will be filled in the fall. This means that our elections for Co-Presidents for the 2010-2011 academic year will take place at our April meeting, April 6th. Please make it out the meeting to support the chapter by running for, and/or placing your vote for the next year's Co-Presidents.

Co-presidents: There will be a 3rd year position and a 2nd year position. They will not run together - these positions will be voted on independent of each other. This format was voted on at the last meeting and will help establish continuity in leadership from one year to the next. If you have great ideas and are interested in being a leader in an amazing organization come out and run!

Summer Positions:  We will be filling two summer AMSA positions at our meeting in April for the position of Recruitment Officer. Recruitment Officers will be responsible for ordering, receiving, and returning any and all promotional materials from National AMSA that we use for the beginning of the year's recruitment drive. Our Recruitment Officers will also help organize the recruitment drive events for the first years with AMSA directiva and help put together the first year AMSA flyer.

We would like to fill the Recruitment Officers positions during our April meeting. Please have an idea of whether you would like to be considered for them. 

Unfortunately, AMSA National has decided to suspend the Chapter Officer Conference (COC) that is usually held in the summer due to financial considerations.
