Hi All,
Per Cecilia's email of 6/14, I logged into the sand box with “admin” password and code and created/saved/submitted an entire provider profile for Dentist1.

Questions:

  • The module let me upload a .png doc as evidence of licensure and it was accepted. Is there a way for the module to ensure that an actual copy of a license is being uploaded? Are you anticipating that states will require a certain file type?
  • Wayne county for the state of Michigan was not listed, is the list of counties in the drop down data dummy data? I didn’t see any MI counties that I recognized in the list. Will city and state auto-populate when a zip code is entered?
Thanks!

PS - I tried to create a new user as Cecilia recommended and for each user name I entered I got an error dialog box indicating that the user name was already in use. I used the admin user for my dentist scenario.

Hi Judy,

I'm glad you were able to log in and submit a profile!

PS - I tried to create a new user as Cecilia recommended and for each user name I entered I got an error dialog box indicating that the user name was already in use. I used the admin user for my dentist scenario.

Right now, self-registered users have a generated password sent to them via email. The sandbox is not hooked up to a real email server, so self-registration doesn't really work. However, you can use the system user (username: system, password: system) to create a provider account and set its password, and then log out and log in with the new account.

Thanks,
Jason

Thanks for the quick reply, that makes sense. Create a provider and system admin profile for myself using the "system" user name - Done! Thanks

This is good test information, Judy. Thank you.

We have a list of counties for each state but they aren't yet loaded
into the db. It's on the list and I'll file an issue to remind us.

Autopopulation is a tough decision. Zip codes can and do cross city
lines in a number of places. They even cross state lines sometimes!
I am hesitant to autopopulate when the resulting information might be
wrong. Similarly, if we think states might want county information,
we should query users for it too. We can't derive accurate county
information from city or zip code. A lot of programs tend to treat
zip/city/county/state as a perfectly nesting hierarchy, but it's not.

Hi Judy,
Thanks for taking the time to test.  It's great that you were able to go through the whole enrollment process.

The module let me upload a .png doc as evidence of licensure and it was accepted. Is there a way for the module to ensure that an actual copy of a license is being uploaded? Are you anticipating that states will require a certain file type?

There are methods we could use to inspect the uploaded document, yes, but we'd have to prioritize those with other capabilities for the module.  We'll have to ask states how important this is to them, and whether they require certain file types.  I opened an issue to track this -- thanks for flagging it, Judy.
