Display Options Will Not Change?

Display options such as Night Lights and Nighttime overlay will not change when selected to do so from the Display Options menu. Close with "X", or Return then close, yield the same result - no changes evident.

I had a similar problem with the grid not displaying but found the
solution was to tick the options required, click on the X (top right
of options pop-up) then click on the Go! of pskreporter to refresh the
image.

I am seeing the same. Try to turn off display of night shadow but the setting doesn't save. I always feel like when I click on the X to close the window that I haven't saved any changes made to settings as that is how the X button in a normal window behaves. IF the action of the X is to save and close the window I guess that's OK, just a different default action than I am accustomed to in other apps.

Which browser are you using? If you can open up the developer console and see if there are any error messages, that would be helpful.
