3Y0K FT8 Spots

Hi,

I thought it would be helpful to check for 3Y0K Bouvet Island spots on FT8 by band within the last 15 minutes to see where they are QRV.  Unfortunately it seems that there are lots of erroneous reports - e.g. filtering for FT8 signals from 3Y0K in the last 15 minutes on 6M shows dozens of spots all over the world.  I wish it was true but... probably a well-known limitation but am I doing something wrong?

I am spotting 3D2USU who is active on the same freq 7090.  I have to guess that there is some issue with the 3Y spots.

Same issue.  I am seeing 8 streams for 3Y0K and I am seeing flags for all over the usa and EU that I hear but it is not reporting that I am hearing 3Y0K.  It seems there is an issue with this call.  I have noticed this a lot.  Today on 15m I was watching tons of usa call them but there were very few if any that were actually reporting hearing them.  Weird.  I am using JTDX RC10.

This is because people see the spot, plop down on the frequency, and blindly call and call and call and call and call...... in hopes the DX will hear them, call them back, and they will miraculously suddenly hear them.

Please don't call the DX station UNLESS you hear them first... consistently.

What are you talking about?  Last night I was copying 8 streams from 3Y0K.  I am setup to share my spots but PSKreporter did not show that I was hearing them at all.  It did show many flags or spots in the USA and EU that I was hearing but it was not showing that I was hearing 3Y0K.  Why?  It has nothing to do with blind callers.
