How to make Display Options 'stick'??

I've played with Display Options a bit... ticking "Hide monitors with no reports" and inserting various things in "Azimuthal center locator" (I tried grid squares as well as longitudinal measures like -111), but nothing seems to impact the display. I'm sure I'm doing something stupid (or, more likely, NOT doing something obviously appropriate), but I'd appreciate some feedback even if it's delivered with a flogging. Thanks, 73.

I doubt it that's simple but after making a selection. Do you click on go

If the display options don't stick then try bookmarking the permalink that appears. 

The display options are stored in local cookies and this just doesn't work for some people. I wish I knew why.
