Not for me. The site monitor (pingdom) shows no downtime in the last 11 days.

What browser are you using (and what operating system)? The IP address of the server did change recently.

I have setup http://status.pskreporter.info to always provide the status (as seen by pingdom). This isn't served by my system, so it ought to work when my server is down or not responding.

Phil -

Map performance is erratic today. Multiple browsers (mainly Chrome and FF) across multiple systems, running various OSes (mainly Win7 and 8, but also Linux and Android), multiple IPs. It pings OK, but it looks like it periodically stops accepting data.

The name (pskreporter.info) is the same, the underlying IP address has changed. This *should* not matter.

There are other websites that you can use to check whether another website is working. For example:

http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/pskreporter.info.html

This actually performs a test at the time that you ask, and it provides some advice on how you might be able to fix it.

I now understand the problem -- it turned out that the root drive had become full and this was causing all sorts of problems as all the caching of queries was no longer working. The reason that the drive was full was that it had saved (in its cache) 72G of data. This was my fault as when I moved the server to a different box, I forgot one step (which I have now performed).

Sorry
