It's Paper Guy! is the final project for our 1st year of Master's Degree at Cnam-Enjmin (a french video game university).

The objectives set by our university was to create a 10 to 15 minutes interactive experience in about 3 months.

The dev was made for the PC platform as it allows us to focus on optimizing It's Paper Guy! and its mechanics the best way we can in such a short period.

We haven't made any decision yet about whether taking our project forward but who knows?

I'm telling you there's something therapeutic about this simplistic gem! Downloaded it on a whim and found out this game is a complete W! I don't think i need to say more the awards speak for themselves! ?

WOW I loved this game!!It is so creative and relaxing. Never played a game quite like this. Well a game made of paper lol.. I had a lot of fun with it and loved every second. I didn't want it to end.. Great job developers!! Highly recommend!

Whenever I visited marketers, I noticed their offices were cluttered with boxes of trade show swag and product literature and their desks were buried under magazines, reports, and lunch wrappers.

I cleared off my desk and set up two filing cabinets with essential files. I sold off an air conditioner I never used. I put up some new shelves in the basement and started to cart down boxes. So far I have six boxes down there and another half dozen four left in my office.

Now my office invites me to walk in and be productive. It gives me some welcome relief from the stress of a non-stop stream of projects. My two uncluttered desks provide room to spread out notes and papers.

Shy Guys are mischievous enemies that are considered a menace to Toad Town. Their main headquarters is Shy Guy's Toy Box, located in the Mushroom Kingdom. They appear in other games outside of Paper Mario. They can attack Mario by charging towards him or by jumping on top of him. There are several different types of Guys, ranging from military Spy Guys to flaming Pyro Guys, healing Medi Guys, and color draining Slurp Guys. Besides Red, albeit being more common in that color, Shy Guys come in a variety of colors, such as blue, green, yellow, and pink. They serve under their main commander, General Guy. Most are very acrobatic, and find clever ways to wreak havoc by playing tricks and constantly stealing from Toads.

Shy Guys serve as enemies in Paper Mario. They are first seen in Chapter 4, wreaking havoc in Toad Town. Once Mario attacks them, they flee to their secret hideout within Shy Guy's Toy Box. Afterward, Mario and his Partners adventure from the Forever Forest and rescue the third Star Spirit, defeating the ghost-eating clubba named Tubba Blubba.

Mario and Friends return to the Mushroom Kingdom only to be informed by the guard to the Forever Forest, Fice T. that Toad Town has been raided by Shy Guys. Shy Guys have caused a ruckus by stealing citizen's important items, kicking owners out of their shops, and even taking letters from the post office. Mario eventually removes them of their actions and frees the citizens from their misery. He even finds a Shy Guy in front of his home with Luigi, who's having trouble trying to catch him.

In the epilogue of Paper Mario, Parakarry visits Shy Guy's Toy Box only to be sending Watt (it is unknown if this is her home as well) a letter inviting her to Princess Peach's party. A Shy Guy can be seen talking with Watt before Parakarry appears, meaning they could have switched sides into becoming allies.

While Shy Guys are unused enemies in The Thousand-Year Door, they can still be seen in the audience when Mario enters a battle. Shy Guys are the only characters in the audience to run up to the back stage and cause a ruckus to either the player or enemy by dropping objects on either character's head. Being dodgy is a good way to avoid this. They can either help or sabotage the player.

Shy Guys (including Fly Guys and Spear guys) were going to reappear in Super Paper Mario as enemies once again but were removed for an unknown reason. However, they still make an appearance in the audience (like in the previous title) when the player performs a Stylish Move.

They appear in Sticker Star in various locations in World 5, Shy Guy Jungle. They are friendly unless you attack them. They also appear in World 4-6 (they are stacked if you fight them) bullying the Traveling Toad into buying a "VIP door" but it is merely a door sticker. The Shy Guys rarely appear empty-handed, normally carrying spears, making them Spear Guys. The Traveling Toad is also bullied by several Shy Guys at Bowser's Snow Fort, and several Spear Guys in the Jungle Rapids (The Traveling Toad quits adventuring after this encounter).

Both Shy Guys and their paper counterparts appear as enemies in Paper Jam, where they are commonly found in groups on Mount Brr. Spear Guys also commonly appear in Gloomy Woods where they are always fought in stacks. They also appear during the Wiggler and Paper Kamek Boss Battle.

In Color Splash, Shy Guys are found across the entire game, and come in many colors. They have very few attacks, and flail their arms at you. They can sometimes be in stacks, carry buckets of paint, wear spiky helmets, roll around wheels, or have a straw in their mouths. In this case, they are called Slurp Guys.

I work with lots of poor kids, and I have a hard time keeping my little boys interested. Most paper dolls are for girls. Your paper dolls are wonderful. Keep up the good work. I am a volunteer in Arizona, and my kids love your paper dolls. Thank you so much for your wonderful work.

Go into the vacant house in Toad Town and make yourself invisible using Bow's special powers. A Shy Guy will come in and give away the secret door. Examine the spot on the wall to open it. You can enter the Toy Box anytime by jumping on the trampoline.

Welcome to the Toy Box. You will find yourself in front of Blue Station. Eventually, you will be able to use a train to travel between the Toy Box's four stations -- but the train is not operating right now.

Since the train isn't operating right now, there are only two ways to go from here --right or left. Let's go left first. You'll find yourself in an area with a black Shy Guy protecting a treasure chest. Challenge him to a fight. Careful, this is a tough one. This shy guy causes a lot of damage and has 50 HP. Use Lullaby or a similar sleep spell to win the battle. As a reward for the difficult fight, you receive the Power Plus Badge. Equip it to raise your jump and hammer attack powers by 1. There are also other Shy Guys running around. You can either avoid them or defeat them. They shouldn't be any trouble, though the Jester Shy Guys (7 HP) can be a pain with their dizzyness attacks.

In the next room, you will encounter some of the thieves you met earlier in Toad Town. Take them out to get the items they're holding, such as the Calculator, Cake Mix and a Mushroom. There are red, yellow and blue Shy Guys -- but you don't need to defeat all of them as only the Calculator is a key item.

Go back to the entrance room and continue on to the right. Depending on what things you chose as Princess Peach before this chapter started, Kammy will drop off either a Mushroom or an enemy.

After grabbing the two Star Pieces, go up on top of the blue house again. Jump over to the right house and let yourself drop to the ground to get past the wall. More Parakarry action. From the wall, jump to the ? Block, then have Parakarry port you over to the right. You need to stand on the blue block to make the jump. The ? Block to the right yields a Thunder Bolt. Move on the right to find whatever item (or enemy, if you're an idiot) Peach suggested Bowser should throw in Mario's way. Open the treasure box to get the Storeroom Key for the Toad Town Shop. Time to leave the Toy Box for now.

Get out the way you came in and bring the Calculator back to the Badge Store owner. You will receive the I Spy Badge as a reward for your help. This cool Badge will alert you whenever there is a hidden panel in an area. If you want to buy some additional badges, leave the area and come back in. The shop will now be open again.

Next, go to the Toad Town Shop and return the Storeroom Key. As a reward, you get to go into the storeroom and take any item you like. You will get the Toy Train, a Volt Shroom, a Dizzy Dial and a Snowman Doll.

Now that you've got the Toy Train, run back to the Toy Box. Instead of going inside, stand in front of it and press A. You will now be able to put the Toy Train inside the box. Enter the Toy Box once again and hit the right dial in front of the train station so that the arrow at the top points to the right. Talk to the Toad on the platform to ride the train to Pink Station.

Let's go right. Bowser's minion will throw another "scary" obstacle your way. If you were smart back when you were playing Peach, it'll be Thunder Rage. Flying Shy Guys await, as well as standard Shy Guys of all colors. The Shy Guy in the heart saucer can heal himself -- but you can block his attacks really easily, so he shouldn't be a challenge.
