Hi,

I'm trying out the Psiloc IR Remote, but I'm not getting it to work.
It installed easily on my mobile (N95 8Gb), but it's unable to control
any device. I've tried all IR modes and I've tried to control multiple
different devices. With a digital camera I was able to see that the IR
transmitter does blink when sending commands, but I can't debug this
further. I've tried versions 1.02 and 1.04 and I have tried installing
it into the phone memory and a memory card. I have no other Psiloc
software installed.. Here's the *#0000# (version information) from my
phone:

V 31.0.015
07-11-08
RM-320
(c) Nokia N95 (03.01)

Thanks for any help,
Sampo

Hello

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please refer to application's description in our shop. We placed there
a note that the quality of IR LED varies between phone models and even
particular devices within one model. We cannot guarantee that your
phone will work with your IR equipment nor the range of IR signal.
Also please remember, that the infrared signal in the mobile phone is
not as strong as in a hardware remote control. Please always use the
trial period to determine if an application satisfy you.

If you cannot find the codes you need, you can upload your own ones to
database via this webpage: http://irremote.psiloc.com/Wizard.aspx and
build your own remote control using the online wizard at
http://irremote.psiloc.com/Custom.aspx. Please rank the codes you have
added within 48 hours otherwise they will be deleted. If code doesn't
work then please rank it as non working.

Large databases of codes compatible with IrRemote can be found here:
http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=pronto&db=devices&br=&fc=
Philips Pronto CCF codes and here: http://lirc.sourceforge.net
Lirc database: http://www.lirc.org/

After you succesfully upload new code to the database you will be able
to add your new device in the application. To do this you can refer to
this user guide: http://shop.psiloc.com/en/Application,262308,Psiloc+irRemote,UserGuide
You can also add new device offline by importing it from .ir file.
All .ir files for devices stored in database can be found on this
webpage: http://irremote.psiloc.com
Please upload downloaded .ir file to your phone ( for example via
bluetooth ) and then open it in Inbox and it will be automatically
recognized by IrRemote application and imported as new device.

Best regards
