Thiswould be a good feature. I'm already using automation to send people a link to a giveaway, but I'd also like to be able to send a customized email to thank people for subscribing if it's someone I know.

Okay this takes it of SS, which is not ideal, but it will accomplish your goals I think, but wil require that you are using Google Analytics and that you have a confirmation page when there is a subscription completed.

We manage a client's site on Wordpress and receive an email notification everyone someone subscribes via Constant Contact plugin. Squarespace is our preferred platform, but not having this feature is a bit of a hindrance to business growth!


I'm really enjoying how much easier SS is for email automation than Mailchimp. However, this seems like a very important feature that SS is lacking. I would appreciate having it! Thanks to all who have already chimed in to support it!


I second what was mentioned yesterday.. why is this not a feature that we have? I should not have to manually check everyday if someone has signed up to my newsletter. SQUARESPACE PLEASE add this feature! ASAP its 2023. This forum started in 2020!!!!!?

P.S. And I fully agree with other users, it's baffling why Squarespace are being so stubborn on this. Surely it can't be that tricky to code...


I totally agree on this. I have loved using SS for all my email marketing after using MailChimp forever. Would love to have a fix that doesn't involve me needing to store my email list on Google Drive. So, those of you who have used the Google Drive solution, does that sheet sync with your Squarespace default list storage, or can you add it as a second storage option so Google Drive is storing new emails (and notifying you of new subscribes) while SS also stores the new subscribers. Meaning both lists stay up to date?


I have been trying to work in the Notifications tab to set guidance on how I would like to be notified when someone submits a form on my website. The only notification settings I am finding are if people comment or purchase. I am simply looking to see how to get a message sent to me when someone signs up and clicks subscribe. I know it has to be simple...am I just missing it?


I tried to do the Google workaround....new subscriber details are getting replicated in my Google sheets, and although I have set up notifications in the sheets so that I'm emailed about any changes (presumably the appearance of new subscriber details qualifies), I'm still not getting emailed about it. So frustrating. Have asked the Squarespace customer service person to request the subscription notification feature - I'm astonished subscriber notification from within Squarespace does not exist.


I have refreshed the browser, and cleared browsing data to see if that helped, but it hasn't. I first noticed the issue last week, my computer has been off over the weekend so restarted and still the same issue. Any thoughts/advice much appreciated.


I have been having the same problem. I have been using Google Chrome (Chrome book- has issues anyway) BUT I was able to add the CSV on my phone by logging into Squarespace on a browser there. No issues and uploaded immediately. I needed this today so I am glad it worked.


The solution for me to "something went wrong" errors in email campaigns, is to log out and log back in again. I've been in touch with Squarespace support who seemed equally mystified, but if it works for me, it might work for you ?


I've contacted the Live Chat Help people as I am still having trouble uploading subscribers and they advised me to try through an Incognito Page as Chrome runs some browser extensions that can affect things. It worked, so has solved the problem for today. They sent me a link to disable browser extensions so I'll try that and keep my fingers crossed.


if it worked in an incognito page then you need to clear your cached!!!! i had this same issue on NASM, a website to get personal trainer certification. once clearing cached and then shutting down the internet program and restarting it, it worked. clearing cached should clear all cookies and stuff so be sure to remember your passwords. :)

We have additional plans for subscribers in various regions, and a standby Publisher somewhere else in the world. However, upon adding the Singapore appliance to the cluster I've noticed that it's consistently "Out of Sync". I opened a TAC case and they've pointed to the following documentation:
