a puzzle with the returning PPI number betwen the PSICQUIC and Intact

I tried the "species:4932" search from the PSICQUIC View (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/Tools/webservices/psicquic/view/main.xhtml?conversationContext=1), the returning PPI number for the Intact is  96,230, however, I do the same search In the original Intact search interface ( http://www.ebi.ac.uk/intact/pages/interactions/interactions.xhtml?conversationContext=1), the returning PPI number is  98,930, so why there exist the number different between them.

Hello,

In psicquic-view you can find 96,230 for IntAct and 2,700 results for Uniprot.

In the IntAct public website, you will find 98,930 (96,230 + 2,700) results because the data served by uniprot psicquic webservice is hosted by IntAct database. Uniprot curators are curating molecular interactions in IntAct but we exclude this external curation from the IntAct psicquic webservice and create a uniprot psicquic webservice because the curation has been done by different institutions.

In the IntAct website, we return all possible results that are in the IntAct database, even if they have been curated by external curators.

We have several external curators in IntAct : uniprot, InnateDB-IMEx, Molcon-IMEx, I2D-IMEx and MBInfo. These four institutions have a different psicquic webservice and their data will be excluded from the IntAct psicquic webservice. However, they will be provided in the IntAct website with the IntAct curated data.
