Has anyone self-published any books through an online POD publisher?
I'm interested to hear any recommendations for any of these
companies,
experiences you might've had (positive and negative);regarding ease of
use
costs, marketing capabilities, finished product,etc.

Thanks!

I have no experience in POD but these links might be helpful:

This link is for a recent NYT article on the topic of self publishing
and POD:

This one is helpful in determining which publishers to avoid:

I have never self published, but Dan Poynter has some great books and
advice about self publishing.
His website is: www.ParaPublishing.com
He has a volume 2 to his SELF PUBLISHING MANUAL that is just out and
talks about the challenges and technological solutions.
I just got a copy. He gives some companies to avoid and consider.

It's also fun to read BookPage, America's Book Review for monthly
advice for writers. The Author Enablers answer questions from readers,
and the columns are archived. I found a few replies relating
to POD by entering that as a keyword. This is slightly askew of your
original question, Ilene, but it since you opened the topic of self-
publishing I thought I'd throw this in. Here's the site: http://bookpage.com/
