I'm posting this for a pal .
He owns a marketing/design firm and never buys illustration. He has a
client that raises minature llamas as pets-I forget what they're
called.
He said the client needed two illos putting these llamas in cute
situations....one being the ' dogs playing poker' scenario and the
other of llamas applying make up for magazine ads(yeah, there's a
magazine for these folks).
The client's ideas, of course.
Anyway, I don't have the time or the chops for this, especially with
the budget.
He's not sure , but guessing she's talking in the $500 range each.
I explained to him that if that's the case , that's way to low, and we
at PSI here push for fair pricing. And high quality snacks.
He understood and decided to maybe contact a student at PTI , where
he's on the Board of Directors.
Then he contacted me again after a meeting where he explained to her
that the situations would have to be simpler, and asked if I could
still run it past PSI to see if anyone's interested and charge what
they see fit.
Especially to educate her on you-get-what-you-pay-for illustration
budgets.
So that's what I'm doing.
If anyone's interested, let me know.
thanks
george
