PowerMac 8500 Users!?

I have been UNsuccessfully trying for weeks to have a stable, longterm
(more than 15 minutes) Netscape session. I am hopeful that someone else
has either gone through this process or is having the same problem.

My setup is:
PowerMac 8500 (120/16/2)
FreePPP 1.0.1 (and 1.0.2)
PSI as the provider
Open Transport 1.0.8
a 28.8 FastMac v.34 modem
Netscape (1.1n, 2.0b2 and 2.0b3 -- it happens with all of them)

If you are a PM8500 user and have experienced similar problems or have
solved similar problems or havn't ever experienced these problems with PSI
and your 8500, I would love to hear from you. Please drop me a line or
post here so that I can finally use Netscape frustration free.
