I have just downloaded Netscape and am confused concerning
the readme file. I loaded up and set the parameters for
the 16 bit version (as outlined so kindly by the interramp
FAQ which has been very helpful). However, I am confused
whether or not I can load up the 32 bit version using
Windows 3.1. I would like to load up Mosaic, so I know
I will be installing the W32s 32 bit operating stuff soon.
However, is there a conflict between that W32s and
Netscape?? I would just like to get the best form
of each program running on my machine. From using these
applications from where I went to school - I like certain things
about Netscape and Mosaic - so I would like to run
both. I have seen it done too (just never had to install it
myself, spoiled I guess). If you can tell me what is
going on and any other tips concerning these
apllications - that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
in advance.

The 32-bit version of Netscape only works with Win95 or NT. It won't work with
Win 3.1 or WFW, even with the Win32s extensions. If you have the 16-bit
version, you're all set--and it's pretty fast, even with regular Windows.

36 bit Netscape is for WinNT etc, only - Not for Win 3.1 or 3.11

Confusing questions need simple answer. Netscape 16 for w3.1x. Netscape
32 for win95 and winNT. Mosaic 32 need the win32 extension. Nothing more toit. I
have tried most wwwbrowsers and still netscape is the best.

No, you can not run the 32 bit version of Netscape on Windows 3.1 or 3.11.
The 32 bit version can ONLY be run on Windows NT or Win95.
