Hi, I'm just entered the group and I'm not an expert in webapps... I browsed the discussions to see if already talked over but I haven't see any suggestion

Is there a way to show all the logs or set any depth if there's any "rotation check" ?

What it seems to me is that it logs only the files with the most recent entries... (not the recent files...) but I dind't go further with investigations

i.e.

cd /home/tomcat/tomcat-7b/logs

(...)
-rw-rw-r--. 1 tomcat tomcat    76249 Oct 22 16:47 catalina.2015-10-22.log
-rw-rw-r--. 1 tomcat tomcat 21542815 Oct 22 16:47 catalina.out
(...)

I see only the last one..

Thank you!!

Leonardo

The logs are queried directly from the apps that are running on the server. That's the only way to know where the files actually are, because not every app logs to the same place.

There are only a few logging APIs supported and lots of room for improvement. As for your problem, this is filed as issue 290.
