Call for Volunteers: Barnes & Noble Book Fair

Hello all.

 

The Barnes & Noble Book Fair to benefit PS 9 is happening this Sunday, April 3rd at the Barnes & Noble on 7th Ave and 6th St. in Park Slope and we need volunteers!  Please let us know if you can volunteer an hour or two anytime between 11am and 7pm on Sunday.  This is a great family event and we have a whole host of activities lined up. 

 

11am - 7pm (Need at least 4 volunteers per hour)

- Hand out vouchers to shoppers outside the store on Seventh Avenue

- Staff PS 9 teachers' "wish list" books table in-store and hand out vouchers to any shoppers who express interest

 

1pm - 7pm (Need at least 4 volunteers per hour)

- Assist during the scheduled events, which include:

    - 1:30pm Ms. Lopez's class performance

    - 2:00pm Readings by PS 9 teachers

    - 3:00pm Principal D'Avilar reading

    - 4:00pm Face Painting and Tattoos and Musical Performance by John Caban and Nicolai Moderbacher

    - 5:00pm Pajama Party

 

If you're able to volunteer, please email me at your earliest convenience.  Last year's event was a huge success and we're looking to build on that and raise more money for PS 9 this year.
