Dear Parents,
The 2011-2012 NYC Family Guide contains useful information for families about the City's Children First school reforms, what students are learning and the kinds of services that are available to the City's public school students. It also provides information about how families can get involved in their children's education - and how they can find answers, help, and support.
This is a grade-specific handbook for supporting your child's education that you can access online at: www.schools.nyc.gov/Academics
Scroll down and click onto The 2011-2012 NYC Family Guide and click onto your child's grade. This link will help parents better understand what is expected from students academically on a grade specific level.
