PTA Meeting Agenda – January 13th, 2009

1. Call to Order/ Pledge of Allegiance

2. President’s Report:
a. Guest Speaker Cathy Carlson, Treasurer SIFPTA discussing filing as
a
501c3 and our tax status.
b. Guest Teacher: Mrs. Kathy Evans – First Grade
1-208.
Discussing tips and strategies for parents to use at
home with their children.

3. Treasurer’s Report: Councilman Michael McMahon donation check
received and deposited. Accountability form was filled out as
follows: $750.00 to support monthly Family Fun events & $250.00 to
purchase gym equipment to host field day and donate to the
multipurpose room for student gym class use.

4. School Leadership Team Report: Training held by Joan McKeever-
Thomas.
Purpose: Align the budget to meet the needs of the School CEP.

(Comprehensive Education Plan)

5. Committee Reports: Looking for Volunteers for the following
committees:
a. Fundraising Committee
b. Event Volunteers Committee

6. Old Business: a. A-660 concerns being taken into
consideration.
b. School traffic safety concerns are being rectified.

7. New Business:
a. CEC Meeting – Empowerment Support Organization Overview
b. Delegates January Meeting Overview by fellow parent Mary Kay
Lingy
c. Dolphin Dessert & Dance for Valentine’s Day on February
6th , 6:30 – 8:00
in the school cafeteria. Wear red and bring one
dessert to share per family.
All children must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian.

February 6th – Dolphin Dessert & Dance 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Bring a
dessert and wear red!
February 10th - Next PTA Meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.
