Dear Parents, as the year winds down we are trying our best to keep you informed.
Just couple of quick reminders:
- THE LAST DAY of the IHI After-School Program will be Friday May 17th
- The ANNUAL TALENT RECITAL will be held on Friday June 10th
- Please contact Ms. Hager, or Ms. Smith if you are able to volunteer on the night of the performance to help at the door, the stage, to sell food, or in the auditorium
- APPLICATIONS 2011/12 for the Imani House Paid After-School program 2011-12 are available at the school and at our headquarters listed below
- Note THERE IS NO FREE PROGRAM FOR NEXT YEAR
- Fees remain the same - Monthly - grades K - 8 $225, Pre-K - 245, Registration $25
- For the 2011/12 school year children will be required to wear the IHI T-shirt for special days and trips (Cost $12)
- The program will remain a performing arts program for grades pre-K - 5
- And for grades 7 & 8 we are offering academic enrichment (this pilot project will only go forward if IHI receives at least 20 paid student applications in these grades)
- Applications cannot be processed if you have a pending balance for tuition, late pick-up or other - thanks for taking care of this.
- RAFFLES - Please turn your raffle money in by Friday June 3rd if possible. We are asking all parents to sell or purchase at least one book. The drawing will be held 6/10 at the Talent Recital. One need not be there to win. Also ask your friends to donate raffles to the children in our program or others. This is if they tell you they aren't interested in the prizes. We had over $500 in donated tickets last year from people who were not interested in the prizes. We made them all out to children in our program
- SUMMER CAMP - The summer camp is almost full. NOTE: Your child is not registered if you have not brought back your application and paid. We gave out almost 200 applications but the maximum students that we will accept is ONLY 40.
- ATTENDANCE - It is critical that you maintain your child's attendance until the end of the program. We want to keep a good record with the City funding agency just in case money becomes available for next year or the year after. They must be convinced that the parents need the program and take it seriously.
Looking forward to seeing everyone being active to make our program the best in NY. Wishing you all a joyful entry into the summer months and forward. Don't forget to hug, and praise your children, it pays dividends in their future and yours.
Sincerely,
Mrs. B. Ideraabdullah
