Dear Parents;

Spring's in the air and with it comes promise and hope. We do hope that you are looking forward to special times with your child(ren) as Spring turns to Summer and they look to your for guidance, structure, recreation and those fond memories that they'll remind you of in the future.

As you know, Imani House OST (Out of School Time) funding for the 2012 school year has been cut 100%. I'd like to thank the parents who have joined the Parent Committee and are actively working to raise funds, and taking other action to fight to restore funding.

YOU CAN HELP! If you think this program has benefitted your child, please find a way to get involved.

I'm including another announcement from the Advocacy Action group:

NOTICE: The OST advocacy committee meeting to restore funding will meet this Wednesday, April 27^th at 10am in the UJA-Federation Offices (130 East 59^th Street, Room 711). Discussion of upcoming advocacy activities and events. Please RSVP no later than the close of business Tuesday, April 26^th to Alyson Grant at gra...@ujafedny.org or call 212.836.1658.

Updates & Other:

The After-School program will be fee based for the next school year. The monthly fees will be $225 grades K-6, and $245 pre-K

Applications for priority enrollment (all current students) will be available within the next week.
Fundraising may allow for limited scholarships for those families who assist in fundraising and are most in need

Annual Talent Showcase Performance - will be held Friday June 10th - 5:45 - 8:00pm- Please come out to celebrate your child's achievement

Parent Fundraisers- RAFFLE DRAWING - Please participate this will help us offer partial scholarships to families in need

We are asking each parent to sell two (2) books. Each book cost $50 or $60 depending on how they are sold
1st Prize is an Apple IPad 2, and there will be 7 to 10 other prizes.
Please see Ms. Bennett or Ms. Meadows when you pick up your child on Wednesday to collect your books

Camp Imani - Our Summer Day Camp - (This is also a fundraiser) - See Ms. Hager for an Application

From 2 - 8 weeks - Great Curriculum -Stimulating/Fun Activities - exciting, educational and entertaining trips, crafts, games, enrichment, athletics
8am - 5:30pm Daily
Starts at $300 for 2 weeks, $1000 for 8 weeks, includes meals, 1 tshirt
IHI Professional Staff - Ratio 10 students to 1 instructor
