All,

A rough copy of the campaigns book is due to Dr. Russell on Friday, November 16th. Paula and Chelsea will compile the book, so send your drafts to Paula and Chelsea by November 7th (two weeks from today). Almost all of this is feasible to do right now (ie, not having finished all of our tactics yet). If you have questions on what anything is supposed to look like, take a look at some of the previous campaigns books.

Each group member will also have a partner to review your material so all material has at least two sets of eyes. Pairs are: Meg & Cathy, Paula & Emily, Liz & Stephen, Chelsea & Jordan.  Make sure your partner sees your stuff before November 7th.

Finally, anything you send to Paula and Chelsea has to be as perfect as possible, ie, proper font type and size, spellcheck, etc, even for the rough draft. We'll use Calibri, 12 point font for content, and Bell MT, 16 point font, bold, for page titles/headlines. For headlines, we'll use a blue color that matches the blue in the Breaking Silence logo: on the color palette in Word under "Standard Colors," it's the light blue between the bright green and the bright blue. Also, place a black line spanning the entire space between the margins underneath the headline. I attached an example.

Here's who's doing what:

Situation Analysis: Emily
PR Problems for Project Safe and Breaking Silence: Stephen
"Breaking Silence" theme: Stephen
Research: Chelsea
Social trends affecting Project Safe: Stephen
Problems & opportunities/SWOT analysis: Meg
Goals: Liz
Target publics: Liz
Objectives: Liz
Strategies & tactics: Liz
Evaluation: Jordan
Budget: Cathy
Gantt Chart: Cathy
Research Appendix: Paula
Compile: Paula & Chelsea

Recap of today's meeting:

Sending stuff to Paula by next Wed, Nov 7: Emily, Meg, Liz
Sending stuff to Chelsea by next Wed, Nov 7: Jordan, Cathy, Stephen

Be sure to use the formatting in my previous e-mail, and make sure the content is edited as final as possible! A few things to add on to from the e-mail below: headlines should be in all caps, no indentions, single-spaced, one blank line between paragraphs.

One more thing that might help: blame my Word ignorance, but it took me a minute to figure out how to put a solid black line under the heading, but put the heading text in blue. For those who don't know how to do it either, it's Format-->Borders and Shading, click "Borders" and then "Custom" and select a single, 1/2 point line below the text.
