Switchy doesn't seem to be working

Just installed onto Chrome 14.0.803.0 dev on Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit.

Configured it to use localhost:9999 as the SOCKS proxy (it's an
ssh-tunneled connection). Used to use GNOME's Network Proxy
preferences.

However, with Switchy, going to checkip.dyndns.com still shows my
client-side IP, not the ssh destination.

Please let me know what info I can provide to help figure out what's
wrong. Thanks.
