Is ProxySQL v3 is compatible with MySQL 8.4?

Hi Team,

I know it might be redundant however, we want to be certain as we will be investing our efforts heavily into ProxySQL for the long term and hence we need an official confirmation.

Also, would like to know does MySQL version really matter for ProxySQL except for some version specific features like group replication because as per the doc, there are no mentions.

Please help us, we are eager to adopt ProxySQL at the earliest.

I'm not on the ProxySQL team, but the release announcement for v3.02 does mention Group replication support for MySQL 8.4 and 9.x

I would assume from that statement that it should be compatible with MySQL 8.4, otherwise why specifically mention group replication for 8.4 and 9.x.

I'm not running against 8.4 in any current workload, but we are looking at it as an option for some newer workloads in the future
