Hi everyone,
We recently published three blog posts covering some important ProxySQL updates, and I wanted to share them with the mailing list.
First, we announced ProxySQL 3.0.6 together with a new multi-tier release strategy. The goal is to make it easier to balance production stability with faster innovation, while keeping a clear path for users who prefer a more conservative upgrade track:

We also published a deep dive into one of the major features in ProxySQL 3.1.6: FFTO (Fast Forward Traffic Observer). Fast Forward mode has traditionally prioritized throughput over visibility; FFTO changes that by bringing query-level observability to Fast Forward traffic for both MySQL and PostgreSQL:

Finally, we published a post about the embedded TSDB introduced in ProxySQL 3.1.6. This adds built-in time-series metric storage directly inside ProxySQL, with configurable retention, SQL access, and a built-in dashboard — useful both for smaller deployments and for quick local investigations even in larger environments:

If you are evaluating an upgrade, I think these posts are worth reading together:
3.0.6 explains the broader release direction
FFTO shows how observability improves even in Fast Forward mode
TSDB shows how ProxySQL can now retain and expose metrics history without external dependencies
As always, feedback is very welcome.
Best,
René
