Casual Reads with Query-Rules?

Hi guys,
is it possible to implement casual reads using query rules?
It's about an alternative to GTID tracking, since GTID tracking support is not implemented in MariaDB.
Specifically, it's about being able to route a SELECT to the same node after an INSERT/DELETE/UPDATE. Previous attempts with flagIN/flagOut were unfortunately unsuccessful.
Does anyone have an idea?
