About the Service:
The Kansas Independent
Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM-I) Practice Course is a self-paced, online course
that provides an understanding of the role of CNM-Is in the practice of
midwifery within the state of Kansas. This course is designed to serve as a resource
for current and aspiring certified nurse midwives (CNM-Is) who wish to gain a
deeper understanding of their role in the practice of midwifery in Kansas. The
course includes information on professional responsibility, legal issues,
administrative issues and guidelines related to the provision of prenatal care.
The Kansas Independent CNM-I Practice Course is developed by Midwifery Today
and offered through our partnership with the University at Buffalo School of
Nursing & Health Professions.
