About the Service:" This Florida (FL) Money Transmitters Practice Course is designed as a tool for students to prepare for the examination and to gauge their level of understanding. The course consists of multiple-choice questions covering all topics required by the State of Florida for the examination. By completing this course, you have successfully met the requirements to sit for the exam.

 

The Florida Money Transmitters Act was enacted in 2002 to protect consumers and businesses from fraudulent transactions involving virtual currency transactions or money transmission services. The Act requires that anyone who wants to engage in money transmission business must obtain permission from the Office of Financial Regulation (OFR). This includes but is not limited to: banks, credit unions, savings institutions, savings and loan associations, insurance companies and similar institutions, credit card companies or other financial services companies doing business in Florida.

 

To obtain an OFR license, you must complete two examinations: (1) A 50 question multiple choice examination; and (2) A 100 question multiple choice examination with at least 15 questions relating to background information about your application."
