About the Service:The Florida (FL) Professional Geologist Practice Course is designed to provide an understanding of the geological principles that are essential to all aspects of geology. The course covers topics such as lithosphere plate tectonics, earth structure and evolution, mineralogy and petrology, geochemistry, hydrogeology, petroleum geology and environmental geochemistry. This course is intended for those students who wish to pursue a career as professional geologists who work in government agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency or the Department of Natural Resources; local governments such as county or municipality planning departments; engineering firms; consulting companies; private industry; academia; and other professions that require knowledge of the earth's processes and materials.
