The Florida Mold Remediation Practice (Mold Remediation) Certification Program is a two-part program that provides training and certification for individuals who perform mold remediation activities. The program contains both classroom and field training components. The classroom component is designed to provide an overview of the health effects of molds, risk assessment methods and tools, proper containment procedures, and record keeping requirements. In addition, attendees will be trained on how to safely conduct inspections for water intrusion and moisture problems as well as how to properly perform air quality testing for mold contamination. The field component consists of a hands-on examination of a work site where attendees will demonstrate their ability to identify moisture problems and perform mold removal in accordance with existing state laws and regulations."
