About the Service:" The Florida Physical Therapy Practice Act was enacted to ensure that all physical therapists in the state are qualified, competent and ethical. The law requires that a physical therapist applicant who meets specific requirements must be licensed as a physical therapist by the Board of Physical Therapy.
The Florida Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (Board) is responsible for determining if an applicant meets the requirements of the practice act. The Board's responsibility is to protect the public by ensuring that applicants possess the necessary knowledge and skills to practice safely and effectively. To do this, the Board has established standards for licensure. These standards include minimum educational requirements, experience requirements and passing scores on a written examination.
This course is intended to prepare individuals who are seeking licensure as an entry-level Physical Therapist in Florida with clinical competencies required by The Florida Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (Board).
