About the Service:" The Florida (FL) Registered Residential Contractor Practice Course is the pre-requisite professional training course to register as a residential contractor in the state of Florida. It is designed to prepare students for the Residential Contractor Exam administered by the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
The course is taught by a Registered Residential Contractor (RRC), who has completed extensive training and experience in all aspects of residential construction. Students will learn how to prepare and submit bids, create and manage an estimate, review contracts, estimate materials needed for various projects, calculate labor costs, calculate profit and overhead percentages, work with subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate job site problems, apply building codes and regulations for safety, provide general customer service skills, etc. The course includes hands-on training on residential construction materials such as roofing systems; flooring systems; exterior walls; interior walls; framing systems; plumbing systems; electrical systems; insulation systems; fire protection systems; acoustical ceilings; vinyl siding; trim work installation techniques (trim carpentry); windows and doors installation techniques (masonry); roof shingle installation techniques (masonry); stucco installation techniques"
