I'm having some of the problems people seem to have here. I have
everything installed. udev recognizes that my phone is connected. I
have USB debugging turned on. I've forwarded the ports.

I can't get browsing in Firefox. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04. I've seen
Ubuntu 9.04 instructions from people who have it working, but I'm not
having any luck.

I think I'm to where Joe was in the last post...I tried changing
'localhost' to '127.0.0.1' - but that didn't work.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I have uploaded a screenshot of my (working) proxy settings:

Also, I have found that it is nessecary to untick 'work offline' from
the file menu in Firefox.
If that doesn't work it would be nice if you could post the output
from:

./adb devices
(run the command from the tools dir of the andoid SDK)

- and -

lsusb

Best regards,
Kaare

Kare1234,

That worked! I can't believe it. You're awesome. It was the unticking
'work offline' (which I thought I had done before - guess not)

Dear Andrew,

Glad you made it work. The offline tickbox also took me a while to
figure out... :)

Mike, if you are interested I will be happy to help out by updating
the wiki page
http://code.google.com/p/proxoid/wiki/installationLinux

It might even be possible to make an installation script that takes
care of everything
(downloading the Android SDK, setting udev permissions etc.)

Best regards,
Kaare
