Alfredo Aceves and several players threw nasty punches when a fierce, full-scale brawl broke out in the ninth inning Saturday of Canada's 10-3 romp over Mexico in the World Baseball Classic, a melee that also involved fans and set off skirmishes in the seats.
NBA commissioner David Stern suspended Artest for the remainder of the season, 73 games. Jackson (30 games), O'Neal (25) and Anthony Johnson (five) also were suspended. Wallace, whose shove started the brawl, received a six-game suspension. Other players received one-game suspensions for leaving their bench.
The Brawler's Guild is the name for a number of underground fighting rings that have sprung up in recent times in Orgrimmar and Stormwind. Someone used a glass bottle as a weapon during the bloody fight, as patrons duke it out and blood flows freely. Some fighters either ripped off their shirts during the brawl or had them ripped off during the melee.
On his first mission on Earth, Brawl was sent with the Combaticons and Megatron to steal a hydrothermocline device from Energy Futures Industries. When they arrived, they were met by Optimus Prime and the Protectobots, laying in wait for them. Brawl combined with his team to form Bruticus, but before the giant got a chance to brawl with Defensor, a human suggested that they'd play a video game over the plant instead. Optimus Prime and Megatron both agreed, and Brawl was sent into the video game along with the other Combaticons, Protectobots, and faction leaders. Brawl teamed up with Swindle to destroy Streetwise and First Aid in the "Vineland" area of the game. However, they were tripped up by a bunch of vine creatures, crystallized, and blown to smithereens. Game over. Afterdeath! These events were observed by the time travelling Dicet Alpha-zero. The Quest!

Authorities in Montgomery, Ala., are charging three men with assault for attacking a riverboat co-captain on Saturday. When officers arrived on scene, the fight had spiraled out of control into a full on brawl at the city's Riverfront Park.
An earlier version of this story incorrectly referred to the name of the city's riverboat as the Harriet II. The boat is called the Harriott II. It has also been updated to clarify that police have detained several people in connection to the brawl, and say charges are pending. Previously, the story said multiple people had been arrested.
Police in Montgomery, Alabama, said three people are expected to be in custody Tuesday on charges including misdemeanor assault in connection with a riverfront brawl that drew nationwide attention. (Aug. 8)
