Hello everyone.
I just found your group after doing a little googling. I'm located down here in St. George. I don't know of any agile-related groups down here, so, I was hoping I could join your mailing list and perhaps ask some of you Provo Agile Practitioners a question now and then?
So, I've heard about agile now for many years and have read the occasional article, blog entry, and book excerpt on the subject. I've got the very rough gist of several agile practices (I think) but, in honesty, have never really worked anywhere that's really been "agile" (according to my understanding). I'm now working for a small start-up and would really like to further my skills and learn how to follow a _truly_ agile workflow.
So, that said, I'm looking to purchase and read a few books and I'm basically looking for suggestions. I'm currently continuing to read The Pragmatic Programmer: From Journeyman to Master (
http://pragprog.com/book/tpp/the-pragmatic-programmer) and I'm considering getting The Agile Samurai: How Agile Masters Deliver Great Software (
http://pragprog.com/book/jtrap/the-agile-samurai). I'd just like to know if anyone here has any "must read" or highly recommended books for agile beginners like myself?
Anyhow, I'd appreciate any feedback and any book lists, even ones geared toward a specific agile discipline.
Thanks!
