Use Public Holiday Calendars

Hello out there,
today i started using google calender. So I transfered all my personal
calendars to google and started syncing it via the Thunderbird Addon.
Everything worked fine so far. Except: I am not able to get the public
google calender with official holidays.
The Error Log shows:
[calGoogleCalendar] Recieved response for
https://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/de.german%23holiday%40group.v.calendar.google.com/private/full
But there are noch holidays shown in Lightning.
How do I get the holidays loaded?

I'm not sure when it happened but I've used this feature for sometime
and at some point it stopped working. Apparently when you created or
added a calendar I used to select the CalDAV or ICS option and
dropping in the address from my google settings for that particular
calendar (my case US Holidays along with others). In trouble shooting
I tried using the google calendar option (last option right above the
calendar URL entry) and all of my calendars came back. So something
changed, I'm not sure what or when exactly. I hope that helps.
