Recurring Events - Is this a bug, or is something else wrong?

I have a recurring event every Wednesday. In my google calendar on
the web, I edited one occurrence of the event, changing the date of
tomorrow's event to today (from 9/1 to 8/31). Now when I look at my
google calendar in lightning, the event still shows the date as 9/1
rather than 8/31. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both add-
ons and clearing saved passwords, deleted are re-added the google
calendar, etc., but I cannot get the event to show on 8/31 in
lightning even though it does on the web. Also, now when I try to
edit any of the recurring events associated with this Wednesday event
in lightning, I get the MODIFICATION_FAILED error. I can add and edit
other events within lightning for the google calendar (I am sure they
are google calendar events as they change/show up on the web), just
not this Wednesday recurring event.
Here is the error I get from the error console when I try to change
the 9/8 event to 9/7. Not sure if there's more info I should provide
from the error console or not (if so please let me know).

code: MODIFICATION_FAILED. Description:

I have exactly the same problem. I use gmail calendars as my main
calendar accessible from a PC (Thunderbird/Lightning) and smartphone
(Android). The smartphone can modify a single occurrence of a
recurring event but from Lightning I just get a MODIFICATION_FAILED
message and the calendar gets locked.

I have had the same problem for many months. I can modify a recurring
event with my iPhone and have it show in Lightning as long as I "edit
all occurrences". If I edit just the one occurrence on the iPhone it
shows on the iPhone but doesn't update Lightning. If I edit a single
instance of a recurring event in Thunderbird/Lightning I get the error
and calendar becomes read-only. I didn't have the issue with Outlook.

I have this issue when others update a single instance of a recurring
meeting, via outlook, and send me the update. It updates on Google
Calendar but the event is not updated in Lightning.

Changes to a single instance of a reoccurring event from google calendar will not get updated on clients using Thunderbird's lightning extension.
Thunderbird: 3.1.10
Google Calendar Provider: 0.7Pre
Lightning: 1.0b3pre
Same problem as the rest of the folks, but with update to the subject for added emphasis. Where do we submit bugs for this?
