Metro Last Light Boat Ride

As the nuclear winter turned to spring, the ice on the surface began to melt, flooding some parts of the Metro. Venice was hit particularly bad, with many of the surrounding tunnels completely flooded and infested with mutants. However, the people of Venice adapted, turning railcars into crude boats, fishing the tunnels, and living as best they could with irradiated water. Fedor was one of these.
Fedor is first seen, or rather heard, at the end of Bandits. Reaching the water's edge, Artyom finds and pulls a rope. The rope pulls a bell far ahead, alerting Fedor, who starts his engine and begins a painfully slow journey to Artyom. However, Artyom quickly realises that the bell and the boat's engine have alerted a nest of Nosalises, who begin to attack him. Fedor tells Artyom he will be there as quickly as he can. He finally makes it to the bank and rescues Artyom. The two ride the boat away from the Nosalises, both Artyom and Fedor firing at them as they leave, before they make it to open waters.
The boat chuggs towards Venice, through the irradiated water. Fedor saves Artyom again when the boat hits a log, knocking Artyom overboard. Back on board, the boat sails past a nest of Shrimp. Although Fedor tells Artyom they are normally placcid (and tasty), that today they appear to be riled. Shortly after, one attacks the boat, almost flipping Artyom overboard again and attacking Fedor. Artyom scrambles back aboard and kills the Shrimp, saving Fedor. Fedor puts the boat to full power, though the Shrimp can easily catch up, and repeatedly try to overturn the boat. Thanks to a few grenades, they manage to get away from the nest, though the Shrimp are in hot persuit. Fedor gets Artyom to fetch a case from the front of the boat. It is full of more grenades. Using his cigarette, Fedor lights the grenades and tosses it behind the boat. The grenades explode in a huge blast, killing many shrimp and causing a huge tidal wave that propells the boat far away from the remaining Shrimp.
Finally at Venice, Fedor converses with the gate guard, Semenovich, who opens the door for him. They meet up with the station chief, who welcomes Artyom to Venice, although warns him to stay out of trouble. The boat docks and Fedor and Artyom part ways. It's here that Artyom meets Simon, a station guard, who appears to be a good friend of Fedor. Simon helps Fedor with his battered boat as Artyom moves on.

You can see the Eiffel Tower sparkle when you are at the top. I have done this once with my niece when she was very young. You can see the Eiffel Tower lights up close, which is a different perspective than seeing it from far away. There are two tops of the Eiffel Tower. You will want to secure a ticket to the observation deck, which is an extra cost but worth the view of Paris. There is champagne to purchase from the vendors to celebrate special occasions like an anniversary or birthday.
I think this is fun to do once, but then you realize that there are a lot of other different angles to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle that may be better than being on top of the tower. I am sure this is a big engagement spot in Paris, as it can also be a romantic moment.
Located close to the metro stop cole militaire, you can find the Champ de Mars. During my last Paris trip in October, we had a beautiful picnic on the Champ de Mars. My friend Whitney loves this spot the most out of all of them. You can grab a blanket, picnic, a bottle of wine, or champagne and enjoy the people-watching. This is one of the best spots to enjoy the sparkle and spend some extra time taking in the views of the Eiffel Tower. It gets tricky with the sunset timing, so keep this in mind, as it may not sparkle right as dusk begins. Just sit back and relax and enjoy!
Pont Alexandre III is one of my all-time favorite bridges in Paris. I love the architecture of the bridge and the street lamps. This bridge stands out from the rest of them for me. I love how the lanterns glow when the sun begins to set. It looks like they are lit up, but it is just the light from the sun. In the warmer months, you will find people with picnics on the Seine just below the bridge. Plenty of room to line up with other tourists and locals on this bridge to watch the Eiffel Tower light show.

There are budget hotels and 5-star luxury hotels that have amazing views. You can relax and enjoy the view from your room. This is one of the best possible experiences to see the Eiffel Tower.
Some of my favorite hotels include the Comtesse Hotel, which is more budget-friendly for an Eiffel Tower view. You can request a room that faces it or has a view of the side of the Eiffel Tower. These rooms are less expensive. I also love the Pavillon des Lettres view of the Eiffel Tower.
Located on the Left Bank of Paris, Rue Saint Dominique is filled with restaurants and shops. From here, you can get a great view of the Eiffel Tower; if you time it just right, you can see her sparkle. Le Recrutement Caf is the perfect spot for a glass of wine, and Madame Eiffel is in the background. Depending on the time of day, you may have to fight for a seat.
This department store is in a great location in the city for a view of the Eiffel Tower. The alternative is just down the street at Galleries Lafayette. At the top of Printemps, there is a restaurant called Perruche, which serves cocktails and food. I have watched beautiful sunsets from the rooftops here.
Le Tout Paris at the top of Cheval Blanc is an excellent spot for cocktails with an Eiffel Tower view. Arrive early before sunset to take in the extraordinary views of Paris and Pont Neuf from the rooftop. My visit in April was too cold for exterior tables but in the warmer months, the terrace will be filled with them. Take in the Eiffel Tower sparkle with a glass of champagne or cocktail. The prices are similar to The Hemingway Bar at The Ritz but with better views, in my opinion.
This is a less-known bridge in Paris, but it also gives excellent views of the Eiffel Tower. You will have fewer people to fight and enjoy the light show. This is a great spot for pictures of the Eiffel Tower. The bridge is just a quick walk from the Champ de Mars.
Avenue des Camons is worth discovering if you are close to the Eiffel Tower. I had felt it was a hidden spot for so many years, but Instagram has brought attention to it. It is a picture-perfect spot with a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

There was an inscrutable alchemy to Metro 2033 that exposed the weaknesses in a host of game reviewers. It was a rough game, to be sure, one blighted by apparently limited resources, making the sort of common and eminently forgiveable mistakes that tend to trap critics who lack a certain imagination and confidence. We may claim to desire originality and creativity in our games, but these ideals are all too often side-lined in favour of indolent criticism.
Metro 2033's stealth mechanics were a tad unpredictable, the guns were somewhat weightless, and the enemies soaked up dozens of bullets before finally succumbing. Games are all too often appraised like motorbikes or washing machines, as if their worth can be measured on a set of scales, successful features piled on one side, weak ones on the other, and a score determined from the balance between the two. So it went with Metro 2033, it's Metacritic score occupying the same dubious turf as Army of Two: The 40th Day, with venerable outlets awarding it 9s, 4s and everything in-between.
What those high-scoring reviews recognised was that Metro 2033 fell short in areas that a bountiful choice of less imaginative games succeeded, but it excelled in ways that very few games ever have. 4A Games created a vividly detailed world with a fine balance between horror and humanity, ghouls and grit. It was brave enough to embrace the hopelessness of life after the apocalypse, allowing that hardship to seep into the moment-to-moment gameplay with a number of truly inspired mechanics: the steadily depleting gas mask, the currency system, the hand-cranked batteries, the pneumatic sniper rifles, a moral choice system so subtle that most players didn't even realise it existed.
It was a more rewarding and memorable experience than any number of more polished and 'perfect' games - an idea that reviews of its sequel, Metro: Last Light, seem to acknowledge as if everyone had thought so from the beginning. Indeed, the most commonly expressed concern with Last Light is that it would lose the unique, uncompromising roughness of its predecessor - the very thing that divided the critics back in 2010. And for Joystiq's Ludwig Keitzmann, 4A Games has managed to do just that, while eradicating many of the niggles that distracted so many from its predecessor's qualities.
"The flashlight, which is necessary to ward off some of the scarier things scurrying out of Moscow's corpse, needs to be regularly charged with a small handheld generator. Air filters for your gas mask must be replenished when above ground, with a countdown on your watch reminding you how little time is left before the gasps and gulps set in. And you know the visor is a big deal when there's a button for it, dedicated just to wiping off the dirt and blood that accumulates," Keitzmann writes in his 9 out of 10 review.
