Ok so I was using an demo version of Sylenth1 because I wanted to try it out. After buying it. I open the DMG and the PKG file opens. It shows me which HD I want to install on ( which obiviously it will need to be installed on the internal HD of the mac, Really stupid ) AND you can't CHOOSE exactly where it goes nor does it show you WHERE its going. I keep opening it up after I deleted all my old sylenth files from my mac and open up Logic 9 and it STILL shows the demo which im confused because i thought I just deleted it. I deleted everything from the finder that says sylenth or anything related. And this still happens. I hate mac and I want to throw it against the !@#$en wall because if this was a PC this would take 2 seconds to do and everytime I try to do something on a mac its always a struggle. Can someone tell me where it goes or where I can find the old sylenth files to delete them?
Yes. Your attitude IS ridiculous. You DO know that this is a user only forum, right? VSTs don't go in "components" They go in "VSTs". Are you installing the 64 bit version of Sylenth? If not, Logic will not see it as Logic used 64 bit only.

At its core Sylenth1 houses 4 alias-free unison oscillators, which generate analog shaped waveforms. Each oscillator is capable of producing 8 unison voices in full stereo, adding up to a total of 32 voices per note. With its 16 notes of polyphony this means you can play up to 512 voices simultaneously! The oscillators perform extremely well in both the very low (down to 0.01Hz and below!) and very high (all the way up to half the samplerate) frequency regions without losing their sharpness, liveliness or character. This makes them well suited for all kinds of sounds, from the deepest basses imaginable to the highest crystal clear bells.
On top of that there are 2 state of the art, pure analog sounding filter sections. Each of these consists of 4 filter stages with nonlinear saturation incorporated, in order to emulate the warmth and drive of a real analog filter. The resonance control can be turned up to a level way beyond self-oscillation and combined with the drive control this makes it possible to let the filters SCREAM! Where a lot of digital filters sound like they're made out of cheap plastic, these filters sound rock-solid, warm and raw.
Sylenth offers many modulation options to sculpture the sound any way you like. There are 2 ADSR envelopes and 2 LFO's which can be used to modulate a whole set of different parameters. Next to that, it is possible to use the extra 2 amplitude envelopes, velocity, keyboard track or modulation wheel as a source for modulation.
With all the functionality and processing horsepower mentioned above, you might expect that this synth would max out even the fastest CPU in no-time, especially considering the high sound quality of each single voice and effect. Well, one of the many benefits of this synth is that it doesn't. It uses highly optimized code and SSE instructions in order to reduce the CPU usage to a minimum. It will also automatically turn off any parts that are not used, to save extra CPU time. This enables you to create pure quality sound using only minimal system resources.

Here's how to activate it because apparently some people can't read simple instructions.
First of all, obviously, run the Sylenth1 setup and install it.
Open notepad as administrator and go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc. Open the file named "hosts" inside the notepad. (Make sure you select "all files" instead of "text documents" so you can actually see the hosts file.) Then, at the bottom write the following;

rhea.exsilia.net
Then hit Ctrl + S to save the file.
Open Sylenth in DAW
Run the keygen and copy the serial code, then paste it into the pop up in sylenth which is asking youfor the activation key.
You should get an internet connection error and saying that the serial code is invalid. Don't worry.
Choose the offline option.
Click save activation file and then save "activate.dat" file (file might be called differently for you).
Click Generate on the keygen and then locate and open the "activate.dat" file that you just saved.
It will then generate your License file, save it.
Go back to your DAW and drag and drop the License file you saved anywhere on the Sylenth1 GUI.
Restart Sylenth and enjoy (;
