Myoriginal is 3456x2304 and I can crop it down to something like 3300x1650 which is easy enough so far. The part that has overloaded my last few remaining gray cells is I then simply want to cut it exactly in half so I have both a square right half and a square left half. I am using some web album software that can then resize to my final dimensions (like 800x800). The web album is like a book. When the page flips over, I would then have the two "halves" and have almost a panorama view. I am trying to find an easy, foolproof way to do this. TIA

Appsheet sucks at advanced duration math. It shouldn't, because it's very easy in a spreadsheet, like literally take the duration and divide by 2 and you're done. I don't know why they programmed it so differently.

But even as we recognize their vast potential, we must contend with the risks. We have seen digital technologies become vehicles for the spread of misinformation, hate speech, online child abuse and violent extremism. In the wrong hands, they are tools for violating human rights and engaging in terrorist activity.

The COVID-19 crisis has highlighted this disparity. While confronting the pandemic, those without Internet access have been unable to benefit from remote education, remote work, or remote health services. Without decisive action, the digital divide will become the new face of inequality.

Second, no single country or company, by itself, should steer the course of our digital future. This is why we must reaffirm the value of engaging with all stakeholders and convening multi-stakeholder partnerships. The task of achieving universal connectivity cannot be left solely to governments, or even to individual technology companies. The same is true for managing artificial intelligence.

Collectively, our task is to help design digital environments that can connect everyone with a positive future. This is why we need a common effort, with collaboration among national and local governments, the private sector, civil society, academia and multilateral organizations.

Yet, to reinvigorate our efforts to implement this vision during the Decade of Action, it is crucial that we also include young people and businesses at the country-level at the centre of these discussions. We have much to learn from both the generation that will be most affected by the rapid changes currently taking place and the private sector, which is already having to adapt to survive. Their perspectives will be vital in ensuring our collective success.

In Chad, the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reports that the country is grappling with an array of challenges that are driving humanitarian needs. These include the arrival of hundreds of thousands of people fleeing the conflict in neighbouring Sudan.

Can anyone tell how can I make right top container and right bottom container to have the same height and to split the red container 50-50% vertically. No matter what is the content inside. I tried stretching content and have them wrapped while keeping flex-direction: row to keep same height for items but I'm lost.

In order to get evenly spaced top/bottom divs, you need to either specify the proper value for flex-basis, or let flex work itself out. Assuming that the parent's display is set to flex with a column orientation, the combined flex style can get us there easily:

Building on Felipe's answer, here is an even more minimal example of how to split a single flex container in half vertically. Each of these styles has been confirmed to be significant and necessary, except for the two at the bottom marked optional.

While the answers above are more or less correct, you may run into trouble if the size of your array isn't divisible by 2, as the result of a / 2, a being odd, is a float in python 3.0, and in earlier version if you specify from __future__ import division at the beginning of your script. You are in any case better off going for integer division, i.e. a // 2, in order to get "forward" compatibility of your code.

Another take on this problem in 2020 ... Here's a generalization of the problem. I interpret the 'divide a list in half' to be .. (i.e. two lists only and there shall be no spillover to a third array in case of an odd one out etc). For instance, if the array length is 19 and a division by two using // operator gives 9, and we will end up having two arrays of length 9 and one array (third) of length 1 (so in total three arrays). If we'd want a general solution to give two arrays all the time, I will assume that we are happy with resulting duo arrays that are not equal in length (one will be longer than the other). And that its assumed to be ok to have the order mixed (alternating in this case).

I want to divide my HTML page into two columns of equal width, so that each half is like a page on its own, and its content does not go into the other half. I did float:left for #left and float:right for #right, but the content overlaps into the other half. How can I achieve the goal?

You should float both columns to the left. For the problem you reported in your comment, use word-wrap: break-word; BUT also don't use fake words 90 characters long, that doesn't exist in any human language except some welsh villages. Finnish and german have long words but still. Use lorem ipsum instead. URLs can still be quite long.

Hello, I have a simple body that must be divided in two halves, but both halves must remain attached in about 40%of their adjacent surface, like, two blocks that are adjacent between them and in one portion they are separated but in another portion they are attached to one another

separated with a gap? Or, are you envisioning a separation with no gap? You can cut a gap in a body, but, I can't think of a way to "divide" a body part way without a gap. What are you trying to achieve? That might help get a better answer.

I hope these images help get my idea through; I originally designed the item in Fusion 360, and it is diveded into an upper and a lower half, using photoshop I "glued" upper and lower half just in the right side, because the final object must be able to "open" in the left side, so a cilinder can be inserted in the center of the body.

I want to calculate plastic resistance of cross section, to do it, I need to divide cross section into two equal halves by area, afterwards determine distance between centers of these areas.

Currently best approximation, I could figure out, would be to divide the cross section in 1mm heigh sections, then add each of them together till I reach half of the area. That would determine aproximate axis where the division should be.

You can use the evolutionary solver Galapagos that comes with Grasshopper to attack these kind of tasks. Be warned though, there might not always be a situation where the areas of both cross sections are exactly equal.

I have a 17x11 pdf Magazine cover. I need to divide it perfectly in half. I need to put the pages in sequential order in front of the the guts of magazine and post it on our site. I am using Acrobat 8 and the only thing I can find is the crop tool. I can crop it and save it as a separate page however they don't always come out the exact same width in the final pdf. There are no tick marks to go by either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Except for such phrases as divide in half and divide in two, the preposition into is used because divide emphasizes separating, breaking up or cutting up a whole into sections or parts, changing the state or form of something. When half and two are used as adjectives, the correct phrasal verb is divide into.

I started Wellbutrin for a second time, again on 150 mg, I must say I heart palpitations and lowered to 75 mg and yes, that works better for now. Once I get used to it I might go up to 150 mg. I think 150 mg for me worked too strongly for the first days, didn't feel so alert and active for a long time, so I'd advice it's probably a good idea to start on 75 mg first and then go up. I'll see from here. Thanks.

Yes .It becomes an immediate-release tablet. For those IR tabs the initial recommended dose is100 mg. Max dose at any one time should not exceed 150 mg and they need to be at least 6 hrs. apart. If you break a 150 mg sustained-release, SR or XL tab in half it will become 2 immediate release tabs of 75 mg each. I'd stay away from benzodiazipines. Personally, my experience with S.A.D. has been that on a 150 SR dose 3X/day in the winter was too much. I began too see a pattern of hypomania. I lowered the dose to 150 SR 2X/day with desired results ultimately after about a week of being squirrely a week after the change. In the summer I went to 150 SR in the am with good results. Of course I had to time the changes so that the dose level was in place at the proper time: Raising it too late in the fall predisposed me to depression and dropping it too late in the summer predisposed me to hypomania, the reverse of those being true.

I recently have added to the 150 mg bupropion (actual Wellbutrin, I have read that generics offer mixed results) 250 mg of modafinil (Provigil). That is working great for me. I use 150 mg when I wake--along with everything else--and 2 espressos. The other 150 modafinil I take at 1:00 or so. At 3 or later it interferes with my sleep, which btw I encourage with trazadone, up to 150 mg at bedtime. This regimen has been terrific so far, best ever after 10 years of pretty serious study. My doc is just another info source--with the power of the pen! I do my own prescribing and have never been refused a desired option. Good sites are crazymeds and for the modafinil in particular try The Bulletproof Executive. The stuff is promoted as a "wakefulness-promoting agent" for narcolepsy and shift work sleep disorder. It is a tool for improving one's focus as well and when I take it I know I will not be likely to experience any depression. It is not "speed". Very low abuse potential profile. IR, short half-life, rapid onset of action. Wellburin's asset is that associated with it's use is virtually no sexual dysfunction. In fact it can restore libido and is used for that as an off-label use for post-menopausal women. When I was taking too much, um... there were problems in that regard. My quick go-to site is Wikipedia but for scholarly research data I use Google Scholar. You need a good vocab there.
