Very cool! Seems a bit expensive for the Intro to Soldering, but if we
ran an Intro to Robotics, this seems like it would be perfect.

so i think the next step is to select a kit. take a look at the list below and put in your opinion.
also we need to make a nice little snazy poster to attract attention and post it around.

below are some kits i think would work well.
these kits start at $15 and go to $30 as you go to the bottom of the list. as an example
12 simon kits are $277.44 @ ($23.12 each)
plus $50.00 shipping
plus $75.00 to rent a space for 2 hrs to hold the workshop.
thats 402.44 in expenses. i think for this kit the workshop should be around $45-$50 a head
12 x 45 = $540.00 so that would be ~$138.00 to the good
We could also order Learn to Solder skill badge from Adafruit:http://www.adafruit.com/products/465
here's the website link to the Anna Templeton Center http://www.annatempletoncenter.com/ which Catherine mentioned at the last meeting. it would be a good spot to hold the workshop.

Anyone have there comment on what kit we should offer? and is this something we should hold at a big space or wait until we get our own space and hold it there?

Depending on our target audience and the time to actually get the course set up. I think the Christmas tree will get a lot of youth wanting to make this for their parents.

true what about if it isnt christmas. what would you choose then. i think for the first course we should aim for 16+ and if that works well offer a junior course.
