Electra was initially released for Jailbreak iOS 11 to iOS 11.1.2 version. Also, it was released as a Jailbreak toolkit for developers and themers. Later Electra improved the success rate of jailbreak by adding Cydia.

Uncover Jailbreak released as Electra Jailbreak replacement. This is released by former Electra team member pwn20wnd with Sam Binger. This Unc0ver jailbreak was released for the same iOS versions covered through Electra. However, Pwn20wnd claims it is more stable and has a better success rate than Electra.

Another Electra scam site. It shows Electra compatibility as iOS 11.2 to iOS 12 versions. But it cannot use Electra for iOS 12 jailbreak yet. The site allows you to download extracted folders only. They have published a fake video guide to install Cydia too. However nothing will be installed.

Earlier in the month, Chimera Team lead developer CoolStar announced a fresh version of the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool with support for the Procursus bootstrap, libhooker tweak injection, and a whole host of back-ported improvements that derived from the newer Odyssey jailbreak. Now, it seems the older iOS 12-based Electra jailbreak tool is receiving a similar treatment.

Electra Team lead developer CoolStar took to Discord late last night to share that the team was working diligently on a new jailbreak tool dubbed Odyssey for A9-A13 devices running iOS 13.0-13.5. If you remember those teasers about Chimera13 in the distant past, then this appears to be that very jailbreak, albeit with a different name.

At the start of the week, the Sileo Team turned a new leaf that resonated positively with the jailbreak community when it said that most of the first alpha iteration of Sileo v2.0.0 had been published to GitHub as open source software. But since then, the team has been particularly tight-lipped about when it would be pushed to the default repositories for hands-on testing.

Chimera1n replaces the native checkra1n bootstrap on the checkra1n jailbreak with the Chimera bootstrap. In doing so, it provides users with the Sileo package manager and a Substitute/Libhooker-based alternative to Cydia Substrate for tweak injection.

Electra Team lead developer CoolStar took to Discord over the weekend to announce that he would be shifting focus away from A12(X) jailbreak development on iOS 12.1.3 and later and more toward experimenting with and developing around the checkm8 exploit:

Just yesterday, the Electra Team released v1.3.7 of the iOS 12-centric Chimera jailbreak tool with extended nonce generator support on A12(X) devices running iOS 12.1.3-12.4, but the Electra Team is out with another update on Wednesday, officially bringing Chimera up to version 1.3.8.

Electra Jailbreak for iOS 11.3.1 comes with a feature which should filter out jailbreak apps and tweaks that are not compatible with iOS 11.3.1 to prevent running into issues after installing incompatible jailbreak tweaks.

iOS users interested in jailbreaking their devices will likely appreciate knowing that a new jailbreak is available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models that are running iOS 11.3.1, iOS 11.3, iOS 11.2, and iOS 11.2.x builds.

For the less familiar, jailbreaking uses an exploit to gain root access to an iOS device thereby allowing users to modify the core software on the iPhone or iPad. Often this is for the purpose of installing appearance themes and visual tweaks, or for installing software to the device for various reasons. Jailbreaking is generally considered advanced and is best reserved for advanced users who like to tinker with their devices and who understand the full risks associated with the process, including potential data loss and security threats. Apple is strongly opposed to jailbreaking, and there are many reasons not to jailbreak an iPhone or iPad. We do not recommend it either, except for the truly advanced users who have prior jailbreaking experience.

The availability of the Electra Jailbreak is mentioned mostly for informational purposes and we certainly do not recommend jailbreaking any iOS device. Apple may choose to deny warranty service to jailbroken devices, among the various other reasons not to jailbreak an iPhone or iPad.

This is the new iOS 11 Jailbreak toolkit developed by Coolstar for all iOS developers to test their new tweaks and themes on iOS 11. Electra Jailbreak download is not a regular jailbreak, it is a development toolkit which is meant for developers and themers.

Once sideloading process completed open settings on your iDevice and go to General --> Device Management. Tap on Trust and confirm the profile associated with Electra download.Open Electra download from the app drawer and tap Jailbreak button to begin jailbreak process. Make sure to enable Tweaks option before jailbreaking. It will allow Electra download to install Anemone on your device as well.

Note: This is a semi-untethered jailbreak. When your device restarts jailbreak will be disabled. You cannot use any jailbreak tweaks until you re-jailbreak your device. To do that, simply open Electra app and perform jailbreak process again.

Electra jailbreak Download is a free tool for all iOS users. Installation is simply done by side-loading the .ipa via Cydia Impactor. We are not holding any responsibility for any damage that may be caused by you. Please use at your own risk for tweaks after Jailbreaking.
