Hi,

I tried to create a four-node chain topology of Utah (pg39) -- LA (pg56) -- Houston (pg55) -- Atlanta (pg53), but there seemed problem at Atlanta.

After I submitted the allocation request via Flack, node icons of other 3 areas turned green, but Atlanta node (pg53) icon remained yellow; it hanged forever...
(I attached the rspec file named 'xia-four-specific-node-
chain1.rspec')

Can someone help me diagnose this Atlanta node (pg53)?

Thanks a lot,
Suk-Bok

Hi. What was the name of the slice, what time did you do this, and is it
still active?

Typically, it is a lot easier for us to help if you give us lots of info
and leave the slice/sliver active so we can look at the failure.

Currently, pg53 is free and looks fine ...

Thanks a lot for the quick response!

The slice name is: xia-demo-test4
I submitted a four-node chain topology of Utah (pg39) -- LA (pg56) -->
Houston (pg55) -- Atlanta (pg53) allocation request (via Flack tool)
at 6:05 PM EST.
As before, node icons of other 3 areas turned green, but Atlanta node
(pg53) icon remains yellow; it is hanging now...

Could you please take a look?

Thanks!

Hi,

I tried it this morning again with the same slice name (xia-demo-
test4), but it still failed.
As before, node icons of other 3 areas turned green, but Atlanta node
(pg53) icon remained yellow; it is hanged forever...

After long waiting, the message I got was:
Task encountered a fault: Can't connect to socket. Either server can't
be reached or the flash socket security policy has not been installed.
To check for the security policy, follow the directions at
http://www.protogeni.net/trac/protogeni/wiki/FlackManual#AddingaFlashSocketSecurityPolicyServer.
Error text was: securityError: Error #2048

Can you take a look?

Thanks!

I have gotten pg53 back into a operational mode.
Unfortunately I had to free it from your experiment. Please try reallocating
your experiment again and let us know if things are working now.

Thanks,

Still it failed....
This time the name of slice is: xia-demo-test5
As before, node icons of other 3 areas turned green, but Atlanta node
(pg53) icon remained yellow; it hanged forever...

Basically, I tried to create a four-node chain topology of Utah (pg39)
-- LA (pg56) --> Houston (pg55) -- Atlanta (pg53), but Atlanta node
(pg53) seems a problem.

Can you please investigate this again?

Thanks a lot!

Hello,

I just re-tried allocating, but pg53 seems still a problem.

This time, the name of slice is: xia-demo-test6
As before, node icons of other 3 areas turned green, but Atlanta node
(pg53) icon remained yellow; it hanged forever...

Can you please investigate this again?

Thanks a lot!
