Hello,

When I use OMNI to create a sliver on cron.loni.org, I got an error *** ERROR: mapper: Failure in ptopgen***. I used the Rspec which do not request specific node on cron.

In OMNI tool, getversion, listresources, and createslice are good. I attach the listresources results at cron.loni.org.

Following is the error for create sliver

linxue@ubuntu:~/work/omni/gcf-1.5.2/src$ ./omni.py -c ../omni_config -a https://www.cron.loni.org/protogeni/xmlrpc/am -o createsliver crontest ../cron.rspec

Any idea why this happen?

Thanks,

Hi Jonathon,

I've added you into account "elabman" on boss.cron.loni.org.
Please help to check it.

Thanks,
Lin

I'm not sure what is going wrong here, I'll have to look into it further. Please add the attached public key to an account on your boss and I'll log on and see if I can debug.

So it looks like you have references to osids that don't actually exist,
namely 10008, 10009, 10010, and 10047. I'll tweak ptopgen on this side to
fail more gracefully in this situation. But the main thing for you to do
is to make actual osids that your 'generic' osids refer to.

I am a little confused. As I am request any node without explicit osids in my Rspec
Does it still tries to get some osids?

And any clue how to make the actual osids which "generic" osids refer to?

What process did you use to put the images into your database? If you used
the load-descriptors tool, which xml files did you import? The problem
seems to be that some database state for your images is corrupted and
ideally, this would let me know what went wrong and what the state in the
database is supposed to be.
