Why does Protocoder request superuser rights?

Hello,

I downloaded the protocoder. The first impression from the user interface is good, with some minor issues.

I started the "UBoard_IOIO" example. When pressing the start button, the system requests super user rights.

Is this intended?
Is this required?

I have to say that my Nexus 7 is rooted, so maybe there is a issue with this configuration.

Hello Schnee, 

Thanks for pointing this out. This is legacy code, I will remove it :) Basically in the old times, when I was starting Protocoder, I worked with a custom hardware that could power the ioio board from the device itself, so I had to trigger a root command to power the board. You can check the code if you want in github :) 

It will be removed in the next version! (next week)
