Hi,

Do I need to propagate Google Protobuf License if I package the static library libprotobuf.a in my dynamic shared library which my customers use? My dynamic shared library is distributed under the MIT license.
I do so to provide one shared library packaged with all dependencies so that it can be used out of the box without linking it to dependent shared objects.

Thanks,
-Kushal.

Hi Kushal,

Yes, I believe you essentially just need to include the contents of our LICENSE file somewhere in the documentation or other materials provided with your library. This is according to this condition from the license: "Redistributions in binary form must reproduce the above copyright notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer in the documentation and/or other materials provided with the distribution."
