[Roadmap] - Is custom-option in the roadmap?

Hi all,

I am planning to use custom-options as a solution to a problem we are facing in a project, and because of that, I would like to know if you see this feature moving forward with Protocol Buffers, or because it is from Proto2 you don't recommend using it. (I am worried it will be deprecated in the near future)

We have no plans to deprecate or remove custom options, so you can count on them to stick around. For that matter we are also continuing to maintain proto2 and plan to keep doing so for the foreseeable future.
