upb help

Hello,

I am trying to get started with a project using upb (https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/blob/main/upb/README.md) but I cannot understand the project structure and how to build it.

There are 3 repositories, each one with some informations:

• https://github.com/protocolbuffers/upb (old)
• https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/tree/main/upb (seems to be the actual one)
• https://github.com/haberman/upb/tree/main (last commit was in 2021

I know PHP , Python and Ruby protobuf implementation are based on this, but I am quite new with bazel and the BUILD files are complex. can someone help me to understand how can I build the library (and also, if it is possible, to understand how the project is structured) ?
