Thisusually if very bothersome at night when Dark Mode is on. Every time when I open Edge there is a bright white flash before the page appears. I have a Core i9 9900k, Asus Maximus XI Extreme Motherboard, Samsung 970 Pro PCIe NVMe SSD, 128GB RAM and a RTX 2080 TI video card. Nothing is overclocked. This is not just EDGE, its all Chromium based browsers. Any idea why this happens and is Microsoft working on this. The experience feels of low quality.

This happens because when you open the browser, the browser starts loading itself whatever it needs so a white screen appears before it starts loading a page, for you, it is a flash because your hardware specs are very good to run all those things fast in a fraction of a second.

Well it would be nice if they can find a way to have it flash black because when I get the new ASUS 32 inch Swift monitor (coming out later this year) it will be a flash of light that is almost as bight as the sun...lol. It could possibly put someone in to an epileptic seizure.

@jesseinsf This is something that I have personally brought up to the team, and we've been working on trying to get this improved. A big part of what is happening (we believe) is that it's only on the initial loading of the browser (or new window), or initial loading of a new tab, and doesn't really appear anywhere else. Is this in line with your experience?

My suggestion was to replace these flashes with something more logical: Splash Screen. Splash Screen were present in the legacy Edge also, and all of the Microsoft's apps have them, so it seems logical to have them in the browser.

So did they? Investigate? And? What has happened on this in the two years since this post? I couldn't seem to even find a dev bug ticket on this. Users have been pleading for a fix since long before 2020.

When the flash happens is well-known by now, but it's especially irritating when Edge is slow to load a new tab/window. Imagine you're in a dimly lit room, dark mode, and the bright white screen lingers screaming at your eyes while you wait for loading. I literally have to close my eyes.

Really would like to see a fix for this. I use Dark Mode on Edge and that makes it exceptionally bad. Edge isn't the only browser that suffers from this issue, but it is worse than others because it happens almost every time a new page opens. I've taken to closing my eyes whenever I click any link that opens a new page because of the bright white light,

I've decided to stop using Edge because of this, it's literally painful. Though I have to say, it's pretty funny and also impressive, that a computer program can physically harm the user.

You can pair the Edge with the Genesys Cloud cloud-based software using a USB flash drive. The USB pairing option is available for the Edge Standard v3 / v2, Edge Mini v2 / v1, and Edge Micro. (These Edges ship with a USB flash drive and an external LCD included in the box. Using the external LCD for the pairing process is optional.)

Later in the pairing procedure, Genesys Cloud prompts you to enter the last 10 digits of the verification code. You then open the text file and copy/paste the appropriate digits in the text box.

Utilizing the Cobb Tuning AccessPort, our flash tune is designed to give you an increase in power and torque while maintaining a high level of drivability and safety. Take the Cobb OTS maps a step further with this custom made flash tune. 2 different stages are offered.

With an upgraded intercooler, we can target a higher torque which results in increased boost pressure. The upgraded intercooler allows for this by keeping the charge air temps in check. Spark advance and fueling are optimized for the cooler temps resulting from the intercooler and you can expect to see 25 to 30% more boost over stock.

The Focus ST ECU uses a torque targeting strategy. This means that you can do just about anything to the car in terms of modification and it will use the throttle to limit torque the best it can to achieve its targets. This works really well and the strategy is retained in almost all custom tunes. With the Stage 1 map, we are limiting boost to help limit torque, allowing you to use this map with a wide range of modifications. The power and torque the Stage 1 map makes will be a result of the mods you have on the car. As it will allow for more power and torque with certain mild modifications. Since we are limiting boost we are able to allow the addition of other mods without hurting the car.

In order to keep things safe and flexible, the spark advance is less aggressive than that of a custom tune. Although you'll experience significantly more power and torque over stock, it leaves a margin of safety to allow for varying fuel quality and keep things nice and safe. If you would like to get everything you can out of the stock turbo, custom tuning will still be required.

Another way we add in an extra layer of safety is with the Octane Adjust Ratio (OAR). As most of you know, the ideal OAR is -1 and this tells you that everything is operating as it should with the car and that you have good fuel quality. If your OAR is dropping closer to 0 or going positive, then you likely have some bad fuel or something wrong with the car. We set the default OAR on the Flash Tune to be between 0 and -1 so that it has room to learn up or down depending on your fuel quality.

**Please note this is NOT a custom e-tune, like we have offered for several years before offering flash tunes. This flash tune does not include revisions and follow-ups that further dial in your tune. It is meant to be a power increase over and above stock and the Cobb off-the-shelf maps, while maintaining a higher margin of safety and flexibility.

Both stages are available in a pump gas map for 91 or 93 octane and an ethanol map optimized for a 30% ethanol mixture. Both stages and/or fuel options can be purchased at the same time. Multiple maps are ONLY allowed to be purchased on the same order for the discounted rate.

I have xbox one s i tried to watch HBO via microsoft Edge. The problem was that adobe player could not be dowloaded to Edge. Why is it not possible?? could you please already fix this problem. thax in advance

It apparently works on tablets which are not desktop systems. Also, just saying it isn't supported on consoles doesn't tell us much. Why isn't it supported on console systems? Why can't it be supported there?

Flash Player has never been supported on console platforms. It's not a platform that was ever targeted for support. There are currently no plans to support additional platforms, especially as Adobe has announced Flash Player's end-of-life at the end of 2020.

This is the same problem i had but one change. I tried playing a flash game on my xbox one on microsoft edge. When i clicked the enable button the browser gave me a message that it was blocked and i clicked allow button. So i thought maybe flash works on xbox then after that it refreshed the page. But it gave me the you need flash to play this game message so i don't know if this is a bug. Also i installed the feb 2020 update but nothing so i don't know if its blocking it.
