Thank you for sharing your magic!!! We have only had the mini trio toys for 3 days for our 9 month old but I have been sharing your toys in my stories for months. Raising a boy named Karan in an extremely white and Christian part of the state feels daunting, but whenever I see my husband or in-laws light up, I know I am doing the right thing for our son, my extended family and their faith. I chose a Hindu partner and family and I will honor them to the highest degree. ? For us that includes MORE MODI TOYS!!!!!

Bootstrapped by siblings, Viral Modi and Avani Modi Sarkar, this minority-owned small business was inspired by their newborn daughters, in hopes of creating the type of toys and books that reflected their heritage and roots.

This does not mean every product that looks like a toy will turn out to be the next big thing. To distinguish toys that are disruptive from toys that will remain just toys, you need to look at products as processes. Obviously, products get better inasmuch as the designer adds features, but this is a relatively weak force. Much more powerful are external forces: microchips getting cheaper, bandwidth becoming ubiquitous, mobile devices getting smarter, etc. For a product to be disruptive it needs to be designed to ride these changes up the utility curve.

Although cats can be pretty picky about toys, dogs are often more than willing to play with any object they can get their paws on. That means you'll need to be particularly careful when monitoring your dog's playtime to prevent any "unscheduled" activities.

The things that are usually most attractive to dogs are often the very things that are the most dangerous. Dog-proof your home by removing string, ribbon, rubber bands, children's toys, pantyhose and other inedible items that could be swallowed.

Avoid or alter any toys that aren't "dog-proof" by removing ribbons, strings, eyes or other parts that could be chewed off and ingested. Discard toys when they start to break into pieces or are torn. Check labels on stuffed toys to see that they are labeled as safe for children under three years of age and that they don't contain any dangerous fillings. Problem fillings include nutshells and polystyrene beads, but even "safe" stuffings aren't truly digestible. Remember that soft toys are not indestructible, but some are sturdier than others. Soft toys should be machine washable.

If you're thinking about giving your dog rawhide chew toys, be sure to check with your veterinarian about which ones are safe and appropriate for your dog. These toys may pose choking hazards, so give them to your dog only when you can supervise them.

Hard rubber toys such as Nylabone and Kong-type products come in many shapes and sizes and are fun for chewing and carrying around. For dogs that like tug-of-war and chewing on interesting textures, rope and woven toys are usually available in a "bone" shape with knotted ends.

"Busy-box" or "feeder" toys are large rubber shapes that can be filled with treats. By moving the cube around with their nose, mouth and paws, your dog can get to the goodies. Many dogs who tend to eat their food too quickly benefit from being fed through a feeder-style toy.

From 12 weeks to six months, as they lose their baby teeth and their adult teeth erupt through their gums, puppies get the urge to chew on everything. Supplying teething toys will make them more comfortable and save your hands, shoes and furniture. Durable nylon bones and rubber toys can take weeks of chewing without breaking into pieces that might be swallowed. You can buy specialized puppy teething toys designed to be frozen and imprinted with soothing textures.

Rotate your dog's toys weekly by making only a few toys available at a time. Keep a variety of types easily accessible. If your dog has a favorite, like a soft comfort toy, you may want to leave it out all the time.

"Found" toys are often much more attractive than toys that are obviously introduced. A game of finding toys or treats is a good rainy-day activity for your dog, using up energy without the need for a lot of space.

Many of your dog's toys should be interactive. Interactive play is very important for your dog because they need active "people time," which enhances the bond between you and your pet. Try balls, flying disks and other toys that help foster the bond between person and pet.

Having things to stalk and pounce on also makes them happy, and helps keep them healthy and active. There are many different kinds of toys; you could buy your cat some of these, or make some yourself. Because of cat's heritage, they like toys that do something. Toys that squeak, chirp, jitter, swing or vibrate remind them of moving meals, enticing him to interact with it.

The first toy you might try is a furry mouse that makes noise and moves. Some even have catnip in them! You can just roll it past him on the floor to catch his attention; Your cat will let you know if it looks like lunch. Some cats like some toys better than others, just offer him a few and he will show you what he likes!

There isn't a set number of toys they need, but I need variety to keep from getting bored with the toys. Cats are like one of the kids; they like to have a batch of toys that can be rotated a few at a time to keep them interested. You can rotate them in different sequences to make the old toys seem new and exciting. Without this, cats just get bored, sleep twenty-three hours a day, and maybe get fat. Sometimes cats might love a toy so much that they may start sleeping next to it. When your cat do this he is telling you he would like to keep it, and please don't include it in the rotation.

Cats also enjoy playing with simple things like crumpled up paper balls, the plastic rings off of milk jugs, the center rolls from toilet paper, cotton-tipped swabs, paper towels, lots of things. You can even stuff old cotton socks with cotton balls and a little catnip, then tie a knot in the end. Cats need an assortment of toys they can roll, pounce on, capture and sink their teeth into, carry and chase. As long as it is safe for them, please let them play with it.
